This combination of triangles and circles
is used in Spain to symbolise the Trinity.

Trinity Symbol The three circles represent the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The 'open form' (called a trefoil) is often seen in churches, either as decoration, or as the shape of the top panel of an arched window. Trinity Symbol
