Sikh Festivals
There are two types of Sikh festival:
Gurpurbs (Guru's days) and melas (festivals). These can be celebrated by:
- nagar keertans (street processions).
- akhand path (continuous reading of Guru Granth Sahib Ji in 48 hours by teams of readers, reading for 2-3 hours), which is completed on the day of the festival.
