Features of a Synagogue

Introduction

Pupils to make a list of their special places. What makes them special? Introduce synagogue through its three Hebrew titles.

In pairs, pupils draw a ground plan of Swansea’s Orthdox Synagogue. Include features such as the ark, the bimah, the eternal light, the menorah, seating for men and seating for women with brief written explanation.
