This resource aims
to provide you with a guide to some useful web sites on Christmas and
related themes.
Rather than present a complete unit of work, you will find the following
sections allow resources to be chosen which are relevant to your particular
interest or need. Remember that downloading information with art work or sound
files will take longer than text files. Each section has a brief introduction:
- The story contains a table of Bible references concerned with the birth of Jesus;
- Art links to some of the best web sites with works of art on the
Christmas story.
- Music links you to web sites with sound files of
Christmas music and in some cases background information on the music or its
composer.
- Traditions links to web sites with descriptions and
sometimes explanations of the origins and significance of Christmas customs and
traditions.
- 9 Readings for a Christmas Act of Worship contains an alternative to the
traditional service of nine lessons and carols and can be edited or adapted.
