Pilgrimages
have been important for people's faith for hundreds
of years. Christians may travel to places of particular religious
significance in order to concentrate on their faith or as an act
of thanksgiving or as a celebration. In 1997 the Christian churches in the UK united to organise a pilgrimage entitled 'The Pilgrims' Way'. |
