We hope you enjoy using this resource. It is for teachers and students to draw on as is relevant to the work they are doing and is not intended as a unit of work which can be used without adaptation. KS 3/4 students would be able to use the materials without much help whereas those at KS 1/2 will need progressively more teacher guidance in selection. Rather than simply producing a list of resources about Advent we have tried to encourage thinking about its meaning and the messages underpinning this season. In addition to four Advent themes, there is material on Advent traditions, stories, art and music. Each of the sections has links to web sites which have been checked. It's worth noting that the music section has files which can be downloaded but you will need to check the software on your computer and its capacity to play music - most computers should manage this. The 'footnotes' point you to what needs to be done if you have difficulty. Remember some files containing music and images of works of art may take a little time to download. Tony Parfitt
