Walking the Way of the Cross
By Pat Robins

I had wanted to visit the Holy Land for a long time but when the opportunity arose I felt that it had come too late for me. By then I was profoundly deaf and blind.

This was the first visit to the Holy Land for most of the group I was with. Visiting all the biblical sites in Galilee, Bethlehem and other places was a rewarding experience. The highlight of the tour was to be walking the Way of the Cross, following Christ's footsteps as he had carried his cross from Jerusalem to Calvary.

There is no adequate way to experience all that Jesus went through, of course. But we can make contact with the past by meditating on the biblical accounts of what happened.
